u-connect, as a concept, has been used by its parent company
Supreme Quality Services Pvt Ltd since 2005 to engage the
services of freelancing professionals to serve its clients in India.
The web-based forum was formed later to reach a wider network of freelancers and organizations in India.
In the initial years, the freelancing professionals were engaged on human resource and training projects.
However, later, it has expanded its scope to include professionals from other functional areas as well.
u-connect is an attempt to bridge the gap that exists due to market imperfection where organizations and
freelancing professionals do not have access to each other. Further, u-connect provides quality assurance to
its clients by engaging in a direct business relationship with them and by providing the expertise of its
professionals to the assignments taken up by the freelancing professionals.
u-connect remains responsible for quality assurance on the projects done through freelancing professionals.
u-connect was founded by Kamesh Vyas , an alumni of XLRI India and a former employee of Arthur Andersen,
Ernst and Young and Watson Wyatt. Today, it has a team of over 25 engagement professionals based at Gurgaon,
India.
The u-connect engagement professionals are management consultants and trainers themselves who have now
specialized in engagement quality assurance.
They provide support to freelancing professionals and quality assurance to engaging organization.
